Meet Jo Burgess
Board of Director
Jo has had a 40 year career as a Community Pharmacist, both as an owner and in later years as a senior pharmacist. She was also, until her recent retirement, a Consultant Pharmacist with the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice, conducting Home Medication Reviews and Residential Medication Management Reviews.
She has held positions on Clinical Practice Committees in Shepparton and acted as a Trainer for Intern Pharmacists in her working practice. Jo has lectured to doctors and hospital staff on a wide range of medication issues. For many years she liaised with community groups to ensure a better understanding of the Quality Use of Medicines.
Jo has been a Rotarian for over 20 years, holding many positions within the organisation and in 2012 she received a Paul Harris Award for service to Rotary.
Having recently moved to Bendigo, Jo wishes to continue her service to the local community and to pharmacy.
